Departments

Departments can be used to:

Using departments facilitates reporting from different areas or branches of the clinic and can also be very helpful during stocktaking by grouping stock that should be in the same part of the practice.

To set up Departments

Multiple departments can be set up within VisionVPM.

  1. Go to: Main menu > Maintenance module > Maintenance menu > Lookup Lists > General Lists >Departments.
  2. Click Insert.

  3. Enter the Code. This must be a number; letters cannot be used.
  4. Enter the Name of the department. This should be descriptive enough for the department to be easily identified.
  5. If more than one clinic is used in VisionVPM, the appropriate clinic for the department should be selected.
