Go to: Main menu > Maintenance module > Maintenance menu > Database Maintenance > Setup Datafiles > Enter daily password > New Datafile Routines > Unique Stock Codes.
This routine checks that every stock item has a unique stock codes and will generate a new code for any duplicate items by adding a number to the end of the existing code.
