Location codes are used for horses as many may be stabled at a different address to that shown in the client's contact details. A Location code or Sire code must be in place for a record to be recognised as Equine.
To set up a Location Code
Go to: Main menu > Maintenance module > Maintenance menu > Lookup Lists > Animal Related Lists > Location Codes.
Enter a Code for the Location.
Enter a Description for the Location.
Enter the Distance from the clinic to the Location.
When a distance from the clinic is entered, it enables VisionVPM to calculate mileage charges for this location for invoicing.
Location distance has precedence over client mileage when invoicing.
