Stock locations can be created to allow identification of the location of stock within the clinic. This can assist staff finding stock on a day to day basis. It can also be useful during stocktaking.
To set up Stock Locations
Go to: Main menu > Maintenance module > Maintenance menu >Lookup Lists > Stock Related Lists > Stock Locations >Insert.
Enter a Code and Description.
The Code should be as informative as possible as only the code is displayed on the Stock Details window.
The Description should provide extra information regarding the location.
Stock Locations may be as general as different areas of the clinic, for example, Pet Store, Farm clinic or as specific as certain shelves. The Stock Location list can be accessed from the Stock Details window.
