To display a list of herd sizes

  1. There are 4 steps to this process. You may have one or more of them already in place, for example, the bovine customised field.

  2. Set up a customised field on the Animal Details window for your Bovine species.
  3. Run a marketing search to list all your bovine animals.
  4. Enter a custom report.
  5. Send custom report to Excel.

Step 1: Set up a customised field for your Bovine species.

  1. Go to Maintenance > Codes and Descriptions > Custom Fields.
  2. Click Insert.
  3. In the Field Name field, type No in Herd.
  4. Select the Animal Field option.
  5. In the Field No field, enter 1.
  6. Click the Species arrow and select your species code for Bovine.
  7. Click Save.

    This will display a Custom Field called No in Herd in the Animal Details window for all Bovine animals.

Step 2: Run a marketing search to list all your bovine animals.

  2. Click Insert.
  3. Click the Animal tab, then click the Species arrow and double-click to select your clinic's Bovine code.
  4. In the Inactive field, type N.
  5. Click Run.
  6. To save the search and run the search in the future, enter a name for the search.

Step 3: Enter a custom report

  1. From the Marketing Search Results window, click the Custom button.
  2. Enter the field numbers that you wish to display in the report, as per the example below.

  3. Click Save Setup to save this custom report format.
  4. You can then choose to send the report to Excel or to print.
