Formulated Procedures

Stock formulations enable you to group products and services together so they can be loaded as a single item on an invoice.

This improves processing efficiency and charging consistency. It enables you to allocate consistent quantities of stock items in procedures, assisting with stock control.

Formulations are frequently used for procedures like vaccinations and common surgeries like speys and neuters. They are also used for products which may be sold as full packs or split packs, for example, application of a single tube of Frontline as opposed to sale of a full three-pack.

While stock formulations provide clinics with considerable automation, they still require management and maintenance. Some may have prices that update automatically and some may not. It is important to review your formulations regularly, particularly those where the price is not automatically updated, to check that the price is at the right level for the market and that the components are still appropriate.
